CSG development works update

Update from Careys: Project operations closing works commenced on Tuesday 24 March

Following last week’s government advice regarding social distancing and the requirement to maintain a safe distance of 2m between individuals, followed by further instruction on Monday 23 March that there should be no gatherings of more than 2 people in public (excluding members of the same household), we have been reviewing how we will action these requirements on our sites and have concluded that currently, we are unable to achieve them.

We face 3 primary obstacles which we are unable to find a safe solution to:

1. Transport to site
2. On-site welfare
3. Execution of each construction activity

We have therefore decided to take the proactive action to demobilise our site operations from Tuesday 24 March, as part of our civic duty and in the interests of the safety and wellbeing of our employees, their families and loved ones, and our CSG neighbours.

We confirm that we will continue to review circumstances and any additional advice from the government on a daily basis and will update you again once we believe it is safe to remobilise our site operations.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information or concerns.

We are happy to inform you that until now we have been working to programme and have completed the following works:

• Completion of all courts ring beam construction

• Completion of 70% footpath construction

• Completion of the maintenance building roof, and north elevation cladding wall [photo Left]

• Completion of 90% of block wall installation

• Completion of 278 Cannon Hill Lane entrance works

• Maintenance access road 50% completed [photo Right]
