On Saturday 24 March the Community Sports Ground hosted an open afternoon to which local residents, Community Sports Ground players and their friends and family were invited.  Over 140 guests enjoyed an afternoon of tennis and socialising accompanied by refreshments and delicious cakes.  An adult session was held on the indoor courts whilst the outdoor courts were bustling with children and parents playing over mini red nets.

One parent player commented “There was a warm welcome and a great atmosphere; so encouraging to see so many children and their parents playing and enjoying tennis! A credit to the AELTC and the CSG staff”. 

Since the launch of the Community Sports Ground website in December over 500 players have registered.
